Malta's First Middle Way Meditation Retreat

The Bayview Hotel in Floriana, was the mediterranean location of Malta's first Middle Way meditation retreat on 11 April 2009 for around 30 enthusiastic Maltese. Phra Nicholas Thanissaro travelled from London to lead a one-day retreat on such subjects as the basics of meditation, meditation and problem-solving and meditation's integration in everyday life. Negative thinking and insomnia were some symptoms retreatants claimed to overcome as a result of their day of meditation. Other meditators described inner experiences including inner light and many expressed a wish to meditate further on a daily basis at home and to form a regular meditation group for the country. Special thanks go out to Kalyanamitras Anotai (Nui) Debono and Manao who worked without sleep for three days to make the event possible. Anyone in Malta who missed this event, but who would like to be informed of the next should contact Nui on +356 99260851.
